Story Contest Winners Announced

Drawing upon a broad range of experiences real and fanciful, some 70 enthusiastic writers responded to last December's call for submissions for a new edition of The Red Lion's popular "Bedtime Stories" booklet.

Subject matter ranged from finicky cats to friendly ghosts to love lost and found, with the occasional cameo appearance by a famous personage. After much review, the contest judges ultimately selected a dozen stories that will be published in four different booklets, enabling guests to see different stories each time they visit the Inn.

The grand prize was awarded to Elizabeth Law of Great Barrington, Mass., whose winning entry, Finding Christmas , is a heartwarming tale of three generations of visitors to Stockbridge that nicely captures the spirit of The Red Lion.
