Against All Odds:
Victory in the War for Independence

Presentation by
Professor Richard Skolnik, PhD.

Declaring independence was the easy part. What seemed almost impossible was standing up to England, determined as it was to crush the colonial rebellion. England had a professional army and a mighty navy. In addition, it hired over 30,000 foreign troops and could count on the support of countless American loyalists opposed to rejecting English rule. So how did the American Patriots prevail against all odds?

This presentation by an American historian, Professor Richard Skolnik, PhD., will offer fresh insights into how, after a long, hard struggle, victory was achieved.
