We charge the first night’s room and tax at the time of reservation. This becomes your deposit. If you call us to cancel your reservation in advance of 48 hours prior to your date of arrival, the deposit is refunded to your credit card. 48 hours of arrival are non-refundable.

Simply mention that you have a gift certificate in the “Special Request” section when making your reservation. There’s no need to enter the certificate number or PIN—just be sure to bring it with you to present at check-in. No deposit will be charged, as your reservation will be secured with your certificate.

The Red Lion Inn offers two elevators for guest convenience and accessibility: a modern, self-service elevator located in the rear of the Inn, and our historic 1897 “birdcage” elevator, which is operated by our Front Desk staff. Please note that our Village Houses do not have elevators, but all buildings are no more than two stories tall, making them easily accessible for most guests.

The Red Lion Inn is located at the corner of Main Street (Route 102) and Elm Street in Stockbridge, Massachusetts.

Yes, we have free on-site parking for guests.

Complimentary off-street parking is available behind The Red Lion Inn. Guests may access the parking lot from Elm Street, just south of the historic Firehouse, or from Route 7, just south of the Inn itself.
Please note that the Town of Stockbridge enforces a winter parking ban from November 15 through March 15, during which street parking is not permitted between 1:00 AM and 6:00 AM.

Handicap parking is available just behind the Main Building, adjacent to the pool. Please check in with the Front Desk upon your arrival and we can direct you to the best spot according to your room location.

There are several transportation options available besides walking. Berkshire County offers a few local taxi services, though fares are calculated by the mile from the taxi’s point of origin and include the return mileage, which can make them more expensive than taxis in larger cities.
Ride-share services such as Uber and Lyft are beginning to operate in the area, but availability may be limited.
We also have a public bus system, known as the B Bus, which serves the region; however, it does not run on Sundays and service ends at 7:00 PM.
If needed, car rental companies are available throughout the Berkshires and can be a convenient option for exploring the area at your own pace.

The Red Lion Inn is conveniently located near several major airports. We are approximately 2.5 hours from Logan International Airport in Boston, about 1 hour and 20 minutes from Bradley International Airport in Hartford, Connecticut, and just 1 hour from Albany International Airport in New York.
For guests traveling by train, stations are available just over the border in Hudson, NY, and Wassaic, NY, both about an hour’s drive from the Inn. Driving services are available from these locations, and rental cars can be conveniently arranged in Hudson.

For a truly unique evening experience, visit The Lion’s Den, our historic speakeasy featuring live music, handcrafted cocktails, and small plates. With breakfast, lunch, and dinner served daily, you can enjoy exceptional dining without ever having to leave the Inn.

Yes, we are happy to accommodate most dietary restrictions whenever possible. We kindly ask that you call ahead to speak with a dining room manager or inform your server when you are seated, so our culinary team can take the best care of your needs.

Our dining rooms are casual. We encourage guests to feel comfortable while still being polished. Neat jeans, dresses, sweaters, blouses, and collared shirts are all perfectly appropriate. Some guests choose to dress up a bit for dinner, especially in the Main Dining Room, but there is no strict dress code.

While breakfast isn’t included in the standard room rate, complimentary coffee is available each morning at the Tavern bar to help you start your day. Join us for a full breakfast in the Main Dining Room, served daily from 7:30 to 10:00 AM. For added convenience, consider booking our Bed & Breakfast Package, which includes overnight accommodations and breakfast for two.
