FOREIGN SUBSTANCES
On Display Now Through August 15th
The Red Lion Inn, in collaboration with The Berkshire International Film Festival, Shakespeare & Company, and Norman Rockwell Museum, is honored to present the exhibit "Foreign Substances," following its debut at Art Basel.
A visionary exhibition co-presented by Michael M.A. Cash and Richard Post, "Foreign Substances" marks a pivotal chapter in a two-year ongoing art pop-up series. Michael Cash and Richard Post continue to showcase the intersection of contemporary art, cinema, and theatrical performance in the heart of the Berkshires.
The show will provide an extraordinary blend of artistic disciplines, offering special programming for guests to experience in a unique convergence of art, film, and performance.
Designed to celebrate and invigorate the region’s cultural landscape, "Foreign Substances" promises to enrich the artistic heritage in the Berkshires with two simultaneous exhibitions: Charlotte Rose’s "Shakespeare Tobacco Company" showcases the intersection of pop art and the Elizabethan era with a modern twist, while and Billy Zane’s "Something Else" offers a thought-provoking exploration of abstraction and pop culture, inviting viewers to experience the “something else” of contemporary art.
At launch, live performances by Shakespeare & Company will offer a fresh interpretation of classical themes for modern audiences, and a curated party in collaboration with the Berkshire International Film Festival will ensure guests experience the creativity and community spirit that define the Berkshires at The Red Lion Inn.
